Garlic Harvest 2019 is in the books (or in the barn) only question now is how much to save for seed and replant this fall? Harvest this year was a heaping half truck box full so obviously next year I need to do a full truck load. I can’t wait until it’s cured and I can weigh out the total harvest, after which we will be selling garlic, straight from our farm to your table! #garlicislife#stinkyrose#fieldtotable#eatlocal#freshgarlic#sustainableagriculture@womenwhofarm
Harvested my garlic from my patio planters! Just 4 cloves and I now have 4 bulbs of garlic! I planted these last autumn and so happy with my harvest today! 😊💚🙌🏼

My first effort at plaiting my garlic in a bunch! What do you think of it? I really enjoyed it and I’ll definitely be bunching them up in future. This is now hanging in my cool garage and I’m sure not for long as it’s delicious! 😊💚🙌🏼

More garlic and this time from the raised beds! This was given to me by a friend of mine, Phil to try a few years ago. It has been growing in the beds, ahem ... for all this time! Nature is always full of surprises wouldn’t you agree?😊🙌🏼💚

I love garlic - it’s delicious, keeps well, and is a breeze to plant and harvest. I aim to plant my garlic (zone 5, upstate NY) the end of October, usually around Halloween, and then we harvest it mid-July. Do you grow garlic? What’s your favorite recipe that uses garlic?!

Our beautifully hued fresh garlic comes from Emerald, Qld. The flavour of fresh garlic cloves is subtle and vibrant, a perfect match to the new crop of vegetables that appear in Spring, such as asparagus. The wonderful thing about fresh garlic is that it can be used in its entirety for cooking, from the green stalk to the clove itself. The green stalk of the garlic can be used the same way you would use a leak – sautéed with vegetables, in a soup or broth. The thick ribbed skin that encloses the cloves can be sliced thinly and used in the same way as you would an onion.
📕❤️ #freshgarlic#argentinagarlic #importgarlic#almbraziltrading#brazil#businesswoman#marluciamartire

This quote is so true for our garlic! It is the best fresh garlic because we experimented with different types of garlic and different methods over the years until we were able to get this product that you see going into the ground in this picture. We can't wait to see these bulbs grow!
You know how certain things can remind you of certain people? Fresh garlic reminds me of my grandma, who used to buy it from the local market, braid it and hang it in her balcony to dry.
Now to being patient and let it dry.
